Phase 1: Darkmess Eyes
Midnite is your first major boss, encountered on Beacon Beach. In her first phase, she will summon several Darkmess Eyes around the arena. These eyes are her primary defense and source of damage. Your priority should be to destroy these eyes as quickly as possible. They have low health but can deal damage if left unchecked. Midnite herself will be invulnerable during this phase. Utilize heroes with good area-of-effect (AoE) attacks like Rabbid Mario's Boomerang or Rabbid Peach's Triple-Troll to hit multiple eyes. Mario's Hero Sight can also be effective if eyes move into its range. Focus fire on one eye at a time to eliminate it efficiently. Once all Darkmess Eyes are destroyed, Midnite will become vulnerable, transitioning to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Vulnerable Midnite
After destroying her eyes, Midnite will become vulnerable. She has a shield that is weak to specific elemental attacks (often fire or shock, depending on the Sparks you've acquired). Check her elemental weakness indicator. Equip a hero with the corresponding elemental Spark (e.g., Pyrostar for fire damage) and focus all your attacks on her. Midnite will also summon basic enemies like Goombas and Stooges to distract you. While it's tempting to clear them, your main goal is to deal as much damage to Midnite as possible before she summons new Darkmess Eyes. Use your strongest single-target attacks and Spark abilities. If you can't defeat her in one turn, she will retreat and summon more Darkmess Eyes, restarting Phase 1. Repeat the process until she is defeated. Rewards: New Spark, Star Bits, Spark Powders.
While Midnite’s teleportation tactics in Beacon Beach require strategic positioning, her ghostly aesthetic mirrors the King Boo variants and spectral tracks frequently featured in Mario Kart Tour.
