Your objective is to locate and recruit Mordin Solus, a salarian scientist with extensive knowledge of genophage research and biotics. You'll find him on the planet Tuchanka, within the densely populated Krogan city. Upon arriving, you'll learn that Mordin is currently working at a clinic, tending to the sick. Your initial interaction with Mordin will be tense, as he is hesitant to leave his work and join Shepard's mission. He is deeply committed to his research and the well-being of the Krogans, despite the controversial nature of his past involvement with the genophage. To convince him to join you, you'll need to engage him in dialogue and present a compelling argument for why his expertise is needed. He will express concerns about the genophage and his role in its creation, and it's important to listen to his perspective. You'll then be tasked with a side objective: to gather medical supplies for his clinic. This involves venturing into a nearby area, often a more dangerous section of Tuchanka, to retrieve the necessary items. Be prepared for combat encounters with hostile creatures or mercenaries. Once you have the supplies, return them to Mordin. This act of assistance will further build trust between Shepard and the scientist. Following this, you'll have a final conversation with Mordin where you can directly ask him to join your crew. He will eventually agree, recognizing the importance of your mission and the potential to make a difference.
