Mass Effect 3 was released with various editions and downloadable content (DLC) packs that offer expanded storylines, new characters, and additional gameplay features. The original release of Mass Effect 3 included several pieces of DLC, some of which were bundled with specific editions or available for separate purchase. The most significant story-focused DLCs are:
