Resource Management and Credits
Efficient resource management and credit acquisition are crucial for Shepard's success in Mass Effect 3. Credits are the primary currency used for purchasing essential items, upgrades, and even decorative ship models. Completing missions and side quests often rewards you with credits, experience points, and valuable war assets, directly impacting your readiness for the final confrontation.
- Ship Models: Six new ship models are available for purchase. Each costs 1000 Credits and becomes available after completing Priority Missions.
- N7: Cerberus Lab: On the N7: Cerberus Lab mission, locate the E-Gel in a room at the center of the research facility. Enter the right-hand entrance, look left, go up the stairs, and turn right into a small room. The E-Gel is on the desk. Delivering it to Dr. Ravin in the Citadel hospital reception yields 30 XP, 1,000 Credits, and the Hanar and Drell Forces War Asset.
- Amp Interface Data: Retrieve the Amp Interface data from a terminal during a mission. Return it to the Asari in the Citadel's medical bay for 30 XP, 3,000 Credits, +5 Reputation, and an improved Citadel Defense Force War Asset.
- Prothean Obelisk: Travel to the Shrike Abyssal galaxy, then to the Urla Rast solar system. Scan the planet Talis Fia to find the Prothean Obelisk. This discovery rewards you with 20,000 Credits and +5 Reputation points.
- E-Gel Thermal Conduit: Engineer Adams on the Normandy will request a ship part. Purchase the E-Gel Thermal Conduit from the Elkoss Combine Arsenal Supplies kiosk at the Bank in the Presidium Commons on the Citadel for 1,000 Credits. Alternatively, if you've already visited the kiosk, you can order it for 1,100 Credits from a terminal in the Normandy's shuttle bay. This purchase grants +5 Reputation Points.
- N7: Cerberus Attack: During the N7: Cerberus Attack mission, find items in the control room before finishing the mission. Give these to Alison outside Purgatory for 30 XP, 1,000 Credits, and +5 Reputation.
