Medi-Gel
Medi-Gel is your primary healing consumable. It instantly restores a portion of Shepard's health. You can carry a limited amount, and it's replenished at ammo stations or found scattered throughout missions. Using Medi-Gel strategically, especially during intense firefights or when your health is critically low, is essential for survival.
Ammo Powers
While not strictly consumables in the traditional sense, ammo powers (like Incendiary, Cryo, or Disruptor Ammo) function similarly by providing temporary buffs to your weapon's damage. These are equipped before missions and can be toggled on or off. They offer significant tactical advantages against specific enemy types – Incendiary for health, Cryo for armor and shields, and Disruptor for synthetics and shields.
Grenades
Shepard can carry a limited number of grenades, which are powerful area-of-effect explosives. They are particularly effective against groups of enemies or heavily armored targets. While not consumables, certain upgrades to your Omni-Tool can provide temporary buffs or enhance the effectiveness of your abilities.
