Ryder's skill points are distributed across three main trees: Combat, Biotics, and Tech. Each tree contains active powers and passive upgrades. Investing points in these trees unlocks new Combat Profiles. Don't worry about making permanent mistakes; you can respec your skill points at any time on the Tempest (in the Medbay) or at any forward station. The cost for respecing increases with each use but resets after a certain amount of time or story progression. This allows for flexible experimentation with different builds.

Skill Tree Overview:
- Combat: Focuses on weapon damage, melee, and defensive abilities. Powers include Turbocharge, Concussive Shot, and Combat Fitness.
- Biotics: Specializes in manipulating mass effect fields for offensive and defensive purposes. Powers include Charge, Annihilation, and Pull.
- Tech: Deals with technological abilities, including elemental damage, crowd control, and defensive constructs. Powers include Incinerate, Overload, and Invasion.
