In the heat of battle, the ability to sustain your squad and control the flow of combat is paramount, and Med-Gel and Grenades are your primary tools for achieving this. Med-Gel serves a dual purpose: it is used to directly heal Commander Shepard and their squadmates, restoring lost health, and critically, to revive fallen allies who have been incapacitated. The effectiveness and capacity of your Med-Gel can be sificantly enhanced through various upgrades found throughout the game, allowing for more frequent and potent healing. Grenades, a staple in Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, offer a versatile tactical advantage. Players have access to different types of grenades, each with unique properties. Frag Grenades provide standard explosive damage, Incendiary Grenades inflict burning damage over time, and Cryo Grenades can freeze enemies, rendering them vulnerable. These can be strategically employed for crowd control, breaking enemy formations, or delivering a burst of high damage to particularly dangerous targets. Both Med-Gel and Grenades are typically found as loot on fallen enemies, within supply crates, or purchased from vendors, making constant exploration and scavenging a vital part of resource management.
