Boars and Wisents are the most dangerous animals you'll encounter in the valley. They are aggressive and will charge you on sight, dealing significant damage. Their attacks can quickly deplete your health, especially in the early game.
Strategy:
- Preparation: Always carry a weapon (Stone Spear or Bow) and some healing items (Potage, Potions) when venturing into areas known for these animals.
- Ranged Combat: The safest approach is to engage them from a distance with a bow. Aim for headshots for critical damage. Keep moving backward to maintain distance.
- Melee Combat: If forced into melee, use a spear. Attack and immediately backpedal to avoid their charge. Try to circle them to get hits in while they are turning.
- Terrain Advantage: Use trees or rocks to your advantage. You can often kite them around obstacles, getting free hits while they navigate.
- Avoidance: If you are low on health or poorly equipped, it's often best to simply avoid them. Sprint away and break line of sight.
Defeating these animals yields valuable meat, leather, and fur, making them worthwhile targets once you are properly equipped.
