Once you have enough Dynasty Reputation (50 is the minimum for your first villager), you can start recruiting. Travel to other villages (Gostovia, Denica, Branica, Lesnica, etc.) and look for NPCs with a 'house' icon above their heads. These are potential recruits. Engage them in dialogue. You'll need to convince them to join your village. Their willingness to join depends on your Dynasty Reputation and the availability of a vacant house in your settlement. Ensure you have at least one empty house (a 'Small Simple House' is sufficient) before attempting to recruit. Once you've convinced someone, they will travel to your village and become a part of your workforce. You can then assign them jobs in your management menu (M).
