Achieving an S-Rank in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is the ultimate test of your stealth and efficiency. To consistently achieve S-Ranks, you must master the game's core mechanics: stealth, enemy patrol patterns, and the effective use of your equipment. Prioritize non-lethal takedowns and avoid engaging enemies unless absolutely necessary. Utilize distractions, tranquilizer weapons, and the environment to your advantage.

Each mission has specific criteria for an S-Rank, which often include a strict time limit, a low number of continues, and a high "continues" score (meaning you didn't get caught). Learn the most efficient routes through each area and practice them until they become second nature. For boss battles, study their attack patterns and find the quickest, most effective ways to defeat them, often with specific weapons or strategies.
