The Peace Walker itself is the ultimate AI weapon and the final boss of the main story. This multi-phase battle is intense and requires a well-developed arsenal and strategic thinking. There are several forms of Peace Walker you'll encounter.
Phase 1: Peace Walker (Chrysalis-like)
The first encounter is similar to Chrysalis, but with more powerful attacks. It will fly, launch missiles, and use a devastating laser. Focus on its AI pod on the underside. Use your strongest rocket launchers and assault rifles. Stay mobile and use cover. This phase is about endurance and consistent damage.
Phase 2: Peace Walker (Cocoon-like)
Peace Walker will transform, becoming more grounded and heavily armored. Its primary weak points are the legs and the AI pod on its back. It will use flamethrowers, machine guns, and a powerful stomp attack. Target the legs to stun it, then focus fire on the AI pod. For non-lethal, tranquilize the AI pod when exposed. This phase requires careful positioning to avoid its wide-area attacks.
Phase 3: Peace Walker (Final Form)
The final form is a massive, bipedal machine. Its main weak point is the AI pod in its chest, which is often protected. It will use several attacks, including a nuclear missile launch (which you must prevent), machine guns, and a powerful laser. You'll need to destroy its armor plating to expose the AI pod. Use your most powerful rocket launchers and machine guns. For non-lethal, you'll need to tranquilize the AI pod multiple times when it's exposed. This is a long battle, so manage your supplies carefully and call for supply drops when needed.
Recommended Loadout:
- Lethal: M16A1 (fully upgraded), RPG-7/M1 Bazooka (fully upgraded), Grenades, Supply Marker.
- Non-Lethal: Mk. 22 (fully upgraded), Mosin Nagant, Stun Grenades, Supply Marker.
- Items: Max Rations, First Aid Kits, Revival Pills (if playing co-op).
