Acquiring and Equipping Cardboard Boxes

To equip a Cardboard Box, navigate to your item inventory using the START button, select the desired box, and press X. Snake will crouch and pull the box over himself. To unequip, simply select another item or weapon, or press the action button (usually Circle) while stationary to stand up and remove the box.

  • Distraction: If a guard is alerted but hasn't seen you, equipping a Cardboard Box can sometimes cause them to lose interest and return to their patrol route, especially if you move out of their immediate area of suspicion.
