Understanding Your iDroid Map

Base Camp: Marked with a distinct icon, your primary safe zone.

Resource Nodes: Icons indicating potential locations for materials like Iron Ore, Kuban Energy crystals, Wood, and various plants. These often respawn over time.
Enemy Locations: While not always precise, your iDroid can sometimes highlight general areas of high enemy activity or specific enemy types if you've previously encountered them in that vicinity.

Navigating the Dust and Fog

The Dite is often shrouded in thick dust and fog, severely limiting visibility. This presents unique challenges for exploration:

Limited Line of Sight: Enemies can ambush you from close range. Move cautiously and use your binoculars or scope to scan the environment ahead.
Disorientation: It's easy to lose your bearings. Frequently check your iDroid map and compass to maintain your direction.
Stamina Drain: Prolonged exposure to the dust and fog will drain your stamina faster. Carry Water Bottles and Food Rations to mitigate this. Crafting a Dust Mask (requires Cloth and Rubber) significantly reduces stamina drain and prevents dust inhalation effects.

When visibility is poor, stick to known paths or the edges of the map until you can establish your bearings. Activating a WHG will often clear the immediate area of dust, providing a temporary safe zone.

Key Exploration Strategies

1. Prioritize Wormhole Generators (WHGs)

WHGs are your lifeline in the Dite. Discovering and activating them should be a top priority during any exploration run. Here's why:

Fast Travel: Once activated, you can instantly warp between your Base Camp and any active WHG, saving immense travel time.
Resource Extraction: WHGs allow you to extract collected resources back to Base Camp without having to physically return. This is crucial for managing your inventory.
Temporary Safe Zones: Activating a WHG clears the immediate dust, providing a small area of improved visibility and reduced environmental hazards.
Kuban Energy Source: WHGs often have nearby Kuban Energy deposits that can be harvested.

When approaching a new WHG, be prepared for a fight. They are often surrounded by Wanderers or other hostile creatures. Clear the area, activate the generator, and then secure the perimeter.

2. Resource Gathering Routes

Efficient resource gathering is essential for crafting and base development. Plan your exploration routes to hit multiple resource nodes:

Early Game: Focus on Wood (from trees and broken structures), Iron Ore (from rock formations), and Kuban Energy (from glowing crystals). These are fundamental for basic crafting.
Mid-Game: Expand to include Rubber (from tires and industrial debris), Cloth (from abandoned tents and clothing), and various plant materials like Herbs (for medicine) and Berries (for food).
Late Game: Seek out rarer materials like Titanium (from specific metallic deposits) and advanced components found in more dangerous zones.

3. Stealth and Evasion

Crouch Walk: Reduces your visibility and sound.
Observe Patrol Patterns: Watch enemy movements before committing to a path.
Use Cover: Hide behind obstacles like rocks, ruined vehicles, and structures.
Distraction: Throwing Empty Magazines or Decoys can draw enemies away from your intended path.

Environmental Hazards
