The Mire Guardian is your first mini-boss, encountered at the end of the Sunken Grotto (Chapter 1). It's a large, amphibious creature that relies on brute force and corrosive attacks.

Phases & Attacks:
- Phase 1 (Land - 100-50% Health):
- Slam Attack: Telegraphed, powerful melee slam. Dodge to the side.
- Corrosive Spit: Fires a projectile that leaves a damaging puddle. Avoid standing in puddles.
- Charge: Charges forward in a straight line. Dodge to the side.
- Phase 2 (Water - 50-0% Health):
- Submerge & Summon: Retreats into the water and summons 3-5 'Mirelings'. Focus on clearing Mirelings quickly.
- Water Blast: Occasionally surfaces to fire a burst of water projectiles. Can be dodged or blocked.
Weaknesses & Recommended Forms:
- Weakness: Fire Damage. Use 'Fire Bombs' or Phoenix Form (if unlocked early via side quest).
- Recommended Forms:
- Lynx Form: Excellent for dodging slams and quickly dealing damage with hit-and-run tactics.
- Bear Form: Can tank hits and use 'Roar' to stun Mirelings in Phase 2.
- Owl Form: Useful for ranged attacks during Phase 2 when the Guardian is in water.
Strategy:
In Phase 1, stay mobile with Lynx Form, dodging its slams and corrosive spit, then counter-attacking. If you get hit, use a Healing Salve. In Phase 2, switch to Bear Form to quickly dispatch Mirelings with AoE, or use Owl Form to snipe the Guardian from a distance when it surfaces. Keep moving to avoid water blasts. The fight is a test of dodging and managing multiple enemies in Phase 2.
