The Blight Lord is the final boss of MetaMorph, encountered in the Ley Line Confluence within the Crystal Caves (Chapter 4). This is a multi-phase fight that tests your mastery of all Prime Forms and combat mechanics.
Phases & Attacks:
- Phase 1 (Elemental Barrage - 100-70% Health):
- Elemental Cycle: Cycles through Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Shadow attacks. Each has distinct visual cues.
- Elemental Fragments: Summons small elemental minions corresponding to its current element.
- Phase 2 (Corrupting Manifestations - 70-40% Health):
- Corrupting Manifestations: Summons entities that tether to you, draining Essence. Destroy them or shapeshift to break tether.
- AoE Blasts: Powerful area-of-effect attacks that cover large portions of the arena.
- Phase 3 (True Form - 40-15% Health):
- Reality Rend: Creates temporary zones of instability that deal massive damage. Avoid at all costs.
- Invulnerability & Blighted Anchors: Becomes invulnerable, and 3 'Blighted Anchors' appear. Destroy these quickly.
- Phase 4 (Desperation & Final Stand - 15-0% Health):
- Combines all previous attacks with increased speed, damage, and frequency.
- Overload: Periodically overloads the arena with a specific element, requiring you to shift into the opposing elemental form for survival.
Weaknesses & Recommended Forms:
- Weakness: Exploiting elemental weaknesses is crucial.
- Recommended Forms:
- Phoenix Form: For fire damage and 'Rebirth'. Use against ice attacks.
- Electric Eel Form: For lightning damage and stunning. Use against water/ice attacks.
- Bear Form: For tanking and burst damage on Anchors.
- Lynx Form: For high mobility and dodging Reality Rends.
- Owl Form: For ranged attacks and clearing fragments.
- Dragon Form: (If unlocked) Can be devastating in Phase 4 for raw damage and survivability.
Strategy:
This fight is about adaptability. In Phase 1, constantly switch forms to counter the Blight Lord's elemental attacks. Use Phoenix against ice, Electric Eel against fire/water. In Phase 2, prioritize destroying Manifestations and dodging AoE. In Phase 3, focus fire on Blighted Anchors. Phase 4 is a gauntlet; use all your most powerful abilities, consumables, and the 'Rebirth' from Phoenix Form. Don't be afraid to play defensively when necessary, waiting for openings. Master your shapeshifting, and victory will be yours.
