They provide the most substantial base defense values, sificantly reducing incoming physical damage. This makes them the preferred choice for tanking roles and melee-focused characters who are often on the front lines. However, the sheer weight and bulk of heavy armor come with drawbacks, primarily affecting mobility and the effectiveness of certain abilities.
Key characteristics of Heavy Armor:
- High Physical Defense: Offers the greatest reduction in damage from physical attacks.
- Increased Resilience: Often provides bonuses to maximum health and resistance to staggering or knockback effects.
- Reduced Movement Speed: Heavy armor sificantly slows down your character's movement and dodge capabilities.
