Crafting in MetaMorph is divided into several disciplines, and Enchanting stands out for its ability to directly augment existing equipment. Unlike forging or alchemy, which create new items, enchanting focuses on adding or modifying magical effects on weapons, armor, and accessories. This process requires specific reagents and a deep understanding of magical energies. Mastering enchanting can turn a good piece of gear into an exceptional one, providing crucial stat boosts, unique procs, or resistances that can make the difference in difficult encounters.
The Enchanting system involves:
- Enchantment Slots: Most gear pieces have a limited number of enchantment slots. Higher rarity gear typically has more slots.
- Enchantment Scrolls: These are consumable items that contain specific enchantments. They can be found as loot, purchased from vendors, or crafted by enchanters.
- Reagents: Various magical components are required to perform an enchantment, such as 'Arcane Dust', 'Essence of Fire', or 'Crystallized Mana'. The type and rarity of reagents depend on the enchantment's power.
