Enchanting — MetaMorph Guide

Enchanting is a vital crafting discipline in MetaMorph that allows you to imbue your gear with powerful magical properties, sificantly enhancing your character's capabilities and customizing your build.

Crafting in MetaMorph is divided into several disciplines, and Enchanting stands out for its ability to directly augment existing equipment. Unlike forging or alchemy, which create new items, enchanting focuses on adding or modifying magical effects on weapons, armor, and accessories. This process requires specific reagents and a deep understanding of magical energies. Mastering enchanting can turn a good piece of gear into an exceptional one, providing crucial stat boosts, unique procs, or resistances that can make the difference in difficult encounters.

The Enchanting system involves:

  • Enchantment Slots: Most gear pieces have a limited number of enchantment slots. Higher rarity gear typically has more slots.
  • Enchantment Scrolls: These are consumable items that contain specific enchantments. They can be found as loot, purchased from vendors, or crafted by enchanters.
  • Reagents: Various magical components are required to perform an enchantment, such as 'Arcane Dust', 'Essence of Fire', or 'Crystallized Mana'. The type and rarity of reagents depend on the enchantment's power.
  • Enchanting Skill: Your character's proficiency in enchanting influences the success rate and the potential power of the enchantments applied.

To begin enchanting, you'll need to find an Enchanting Table, usually located in major cities or specialized crafting areas. Interacting with the table will open the enchanting interface. You'll then select the gear piece you wish to enchant, choose an available enchantment scroll from your inventory, and ensure you have the necessary reagents. The interface will display the potential outcome, including the stats or effects the enchantment will grant, and the success chance. Some rare enchantments might have a chance to fail, consuming the reagents and the scroll but leaving the gear unaffected, while others guarantee success.

Examples of powerful enchantments include:

Enchantment Name Effect Gear Type
Fiery Brand Adds a chance to ite enemies on hit. Weapons
Fortitude Aura Increases maximum health by 10%. Armor
Swiftness Blessing Increases movement speed by 5%. Accessories
Arcane Resonance Reduces cooldowns by 5%. All Gear

As you level up your enchanting skill, you'll unlock the ability to craft more potent enchantment scrolls and apply higher-tier enchantments. Some legendary gear pieces might have unique enchantment slots that can only accept specific, powerful enchantments found through rare drops or challenging quests. Always consider the synergy between your gear's existing stats and the enchantments you plan to apply to create a truly optimized character.
