Act 2: The Convergence begins with your arrival in The Village, where the mayor informs you of the missing filmmaker, Titorelli. Titorelli is a vital contact for gaining access to The Tower. Your search for him will lead you to either the local Bar or the town's projector. The choices you make in finding Titorelli and subsequent tasks will influence the game's ending, offering replayability to experience both outcomes.
Finding Titorelli
After disembarking your boat, you will encounter The Village's mayor, who reveals that the 'Tower Festival' is in progress, but Titorelli, a key contact within 'Tower', has disappeared. The mayor provides two potential locations for Titorelli:
- The Bar
- The projector overlooking the town
There are two distinct paths you can take, each leading to a different ending. To achieve 100% completion, you should experience both. After completing one ending, you can load the 'Tower' chapter from the main menu to pursue the other.
The Lawyer's Office
You will find yourself in the house of an actual human lawyer, who is preoccupied with his recording. To proceed, you must shut down the music. Walk towards the book hanging from the cupboard, then follow the trail of books downwards. Once you reach the lowest level, move past the ink puddle and position yourself beneath the gramophone.
You will then return to the desk. Use the books to climb out of the paper cover and access the desktop by going through one of its hinges. Open the door next to the desk and proceed through the corridor. The pictures on the walls will become increasingly strange as you advance, indicating a shift in your perception.
The Door Puzzle
This section presents a complex puzzle requiring you to find a key and reach the door's handle despite your small size. The key is located on one of the drawers, specifically the topmost right one, similar to a previous encounter. To reach the door, descend from the desk and return to your entry point in the room. Climb the pile of books to access the drawer adjacent to the door. From there, you can interact with the handle to open it.
You will then enter another corridor that progressively narrows and becomes more surreal. This path leads to a ventilation hole, which you will traverse, completing your bug transformation. The subsequent puzzle, while new, is straightforward and involves jumping, sprinting, and walking. Jump into the small box, then onto the dynamo. Press and hold the interaction button while using the forward button to move in place, which will open a small vent for you to pass through.
