In the heart of the Ley Line Confluence, you finally confront the true source of Aethelgard's corruption: the 'Blight Lord'. This is the final boss fight of the main story.
Blight Lord Strategy:
- Phase 1 (Elemental Barrage): The Blight Lord will cycle through elemental attacks (fire, ice, lightning, shadow). Each element has a distinct visual cue. Shift into the opposing elemental form (e.g., Electric Eel Form for ice attacks, Phoenix Form for ice attacks) to gain resistance and deal bonus damage. It will also summon 'Elemental Fragments'.
- Phase 2 (Corrupting Manifestations): At 70% health, the Blight Lord will become more aggressive, creating 'Corrupting Manifestations' that tether to you, draining your Essence. Break the tether by dealing damage to the Manifestation or by quickly shapeshifting. It will also perform powerful area-of-effect attacks that cover large portions of the arena.
- Phase 3 (True Form): At 40% health, the Blight Lord reveals its 'True Form', a grotesque amalgamation of blighted energy. It gains new abilities, including a devastating 'Reality Rend' attack that creates temporary zones of instability. These zones deal massive damage; avoid them at all costs. It will also periodically become invulnerable, requiring you to destroy 'Blighted Anchors' that appear around the arena.
- Phase 4 (Desperation & Final Stand): Below 15% health, the Blight Lord unleashes its full power, combining all previous attacks with increased frequency and damage. This is a pure test of skill, resource management, and form mastery. Use your most powerful abilities, potions, and any remaining elemental bombs.
Upon defeating the Blight Lord, a final cinematic will play, showing the purification of Aethelgard. Congratulations, Metamorph, you have saved the world! This completes the main story.
