Aethelgard is full of hidden passages, secret rooms, and elusive treasures. Exploration is highly rewarded in MetaMorph.
- Destructible Walls: Look for cracked or discolored walls. A powerful attack (e.g., Bear Form's heavy attack, Dragon Form's fire breath) can often break them, revealing hidden paths or chests.
- Illusory Walls: Some walls are purely illusory and can be walked through. These are often found in ancient ruins or magical areas. Look for subtle distortions in the air.
- Form-Specific Access: Many secrets require a specific Minor Form to access. Rat Form for small holes, Deer Form for high ledges, Hawk Form for scouting from above.
- Puzzle Chests: Some chests are locked behind environmental puzzles (e.g., light puzzles, pressure plates, elemental activation). Solving them often yields rare gear or Essence Shards.
- Lore Tablets: Keep an eye out for ancient tablets or scrolls. Interacting with them often reveals snippets of Aethelgard's history, hints about hidden areas, or even unlocks new side quests.
- Secret Merchants: A few elusive merchants are hidden in remote locations, offering unique and powerful items not found elsewhere. One such merchant is rumored to be in a cave accessible only by Dragon Form flight in the highest peaks.
Always thoroughly explore every corner of a new area before moving on. The rewards for curiosity are often substantial.
