Collectibles Checklist

Welcome, bounty hunter! To truly conquer Planet ZDR and achieve 100% completion in Metroid Dread, you'll need to meticulously track down every hidden upgrade. This comprehensive checklist will guide you through each region, detailing the location and acquisition strategy for every Missile Tank, Missile+ Tank, Energy Tank, and Energy Part. Remember, many collectibles require specific abilities, so don't be afraid to revisit areas once you've acquired new powers!

Artaria Collectibles

Artaria, your initial landing zone, holds a good number of early upgrades. Focus on these as you gain basic movement abilities.

  • Missile Tank #1: After defeating the first E.M.M.I., head left from the Network Station. Use your newly acquired Phantom Cloak to sneak past the E.M.M.I. zone door and find it in a small alcove.
  • Energy Part #1: In the large vertical shaft leading to the first E.M.M.I. zone. Once you have the Spider Magnet, climb the blue magnetic walls on the right side to reach a hidden passage.
  • Missile+ Tank #1: Located in the upper-right section of Artaria, accessible after obtaining the Charge Beam. Shoot the pressure-sensitive block on the ceiling to reveal a path.
  • Energy Tank #1: Found in the lower-left section, near the shuttle to Cataris. Requires the Morph Ball to roll through a narrow tunnel.

Cataris Collectibles

Cataris, with its scorching temperatures, demands careful navigation. Many items here are protected by heat or require advanced movement.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Cataris): From the main elevator from Artaria, head right. You'll see it behind a thermal door. Return once you have the Varia Suit.
  • Energy Part #1 (Cataris): In the E.M.M.I. Zone near the top-right. After acquiring the Speed Booster, dash through the long corridor to break through Speed Booster blocks.
  • Missile+ Tank #1 (Cataris): Located in the central E.M.M.I. Zone. Use the Pulse Radar to pinpoint a hidden breakable block in the floor, leading to a secret area.
  • Energy Tank #1 (Cataris): In the lower-left section, accessible after obtaining the Plasma Beam. Shoot the green Plasma Beam door to open the path.

Dairon Collectibles

Dairon's dark and often power-deprived sectors hide numerous upgrades. Be prepared to restore power or navigate in the dark.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Dairon): In the dark sector, after restoring power. It's in a small room accessible via a Morph Ball tunnel.
  • Energy Part #1 (Dairon): Near the shuttle to Burenia. Requires the Grapple Beam to pull open a magnetic door.
  • Missile+ Tank #1 (Dairon): In the E.M.M.I. Zone, in the upper-right. Use the Storm Missile to destroy the series of blocks blocking the path.
  • Energy Tank #1 (Dairon): After acquiring the Space Jump, in the large vertical shaft leading to the Ferenia shuttle. Jump to the very top-right corner.

Burenia Collectibles

Burenia's underwater environments and intricate passages make for challenging exploration. The Gravity Suit is essential for many of these.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Burenia): In the first large underwater area. Use the Spin Boost to reach a high platform.
  • Energy Part #1 (Burenia): After defeating the Burenia E.M.M.I., in the newly accessible area. Requires the Cross Bomb to destroy specific blocks.
  • Missile+ Tank #1 (Burenia): In the lower-right section, within an E.M.M.I. Zone. Utilize the Flash Shift to quickly pass through a narrow gap before it closes.
  • Energy Tank #1 (Burenia): Found in the upper-left, after acquiring the Screw Attack. Break through the Screw Attack blocks in the ceiling of a large chamber.

Ghavoran Collectibles

Ghavoran's lush, overgrown areas often conceal items behind plant life or in high, hard-to-reach places.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Ghavoran): Near the shuttle to Ferenia. Use the Ice Missile to freeze a creature and use it as a platform.
  • Energy Part #1 (Ghavoran): In the large central chamber, after acquiring the Wave Beam. Shoot through the walls to reveal a hidden passage.
  • Missile+ Tank #1 (Ghavoran): In the E.M.M.I. Zone, in the upper-left. Requires a precise Shinespark from a long corridor to break through blocks.
  • Energy Tank #1 (Ghavoran): After obtaining the Power Bomb, in the lower-right. Use a Power Bomb to clear a large section of blocks.

Ferenia Collectibles

Ferenia's ancient ruins and powerful enemies guard some of the game's later upgrades. Expect to use a full suite of abilities here.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Ferenia): In the upper-right section, after defeating the Ferenia E.M.M.I. Use the Space Jump to reach a high ledge.
  • Energy Part #1 (Ferenia): Near the shuttle to Elun. Requires the Diffusion Beam to destroy multiple blocks simultaneously.
  • Missile+ Tank #1 (Ferenia): In the E.M.M.I. Zone, in the central area. Look for a hidden Morph Ball launcher that propels you to the item.
  • Energy Tank #1 (Ferenia): After acquiring the Spin Boost, in the lower-left. Perform a series of Spin Boosts to navigate a complex vertical puzzle.

Elun Collectibles

Elun is a smaller, more linear area, but its collectibles are often well-hidden and require keen observation.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Elun): In the first large chamber, after entering. Use the Morph Ball to access a small alcove on the left.
  • Energy Part #1 (Elun): Near the end of the area, before the boss fight. Look for a breakable block in the ceiling that reveals a path.

Ferenia (Post-Elun) Collectibles

After your visit to Elun, new paths and opportunities for collectibles open up in Ferenia.

  • Missile Tank #2 (Ferenia): In the central area, now accessible with the new abilities gained from Elun. Use the Screw Attack to break through a wall.
  • Energy Part #2 (Ferenia): In the upper-left, near the shuttle to Ghavoran. Requires a precise Shinespark from a platform to break through a series of blocks.

Hanubia Collectibles

Hanubia, the final region, holds the last few crucial upgrades before the endgame. These are often in challenging locations.

  • Missile Tank #1 (Hanubia): In the first large room after entering. Use the Grapple Beam to swing across a gap.
  • Energy Part #1 (Hanubia): In the E.M.M.I. Zone, in the upper-right. Requires a well-timed Shinespark to break through a long line of blocks.
  • Missile+ Tank #1 (Hanubia): Near the final boss chamber. Look for a hidden passage behind a breakable wall, revealed by a Power Bomb.
  • Energy Tank #1 (Hanubia): In the lower-left, after acquiring all major abilities. This often requires a complex sequence of movement abilities to reach.

By following this detailed checklist, you'll be well on your way to a 100% completion rate, ensuring Samus is at her absolute peak for whatever challenges Planet ZDR throws her way. Happy hunting!
