Characters & Builds

In Metroid II: Return of Samus, you play as the legendary bounty hunter, Samus Aran. Unlike RPGs, there isn't a 'character creation' or 'build' system in the traditional sense. Samus's abilities and effectiveness are entirely determined by the power-ups and equipment you acquire throughout your journey on SR388. Your 'build' is essentially your collection of upgrades.

The game's progression is designed around Samus becoming progressively more powerful as she collects new suit enhancements, weapon upgrades, and mobility tools. The more power-ups you find, the more versatile and resilient Samus becomes, allowing her to overcome increasingly difficult challenges and Metroid evolutions.
