The ultimate antagonist, a massive, immobile creature with a powerful bite and acid spit. The source of all Metroids on SR388.
Phases
- Head Attack Phase: The Queen will extend her neck, attempting to bite Samus or spit acid.
- Vulnerable Phase: After taking enough damage, she will retract her head, revealing her internal cavity.
Weaknesses
Her mouth (when open) and her internal cavity (Power Bombs).
Strategy
The Metroid Queen battle is a two-part process. In the first phase, stay mobile and dodge her bites and acid. When her mouth is open, fire charged shots and missiles directly into it. After dealing enough damage, she will retract her head. This is your cue to switch to Morph Ball, roll into her mouth, and plant a Power Bomb. The Power Bomb will deal massive damage. Repeat this cycle of damaging her head and then planting a Power Bomb inside her until she is defeated. Ensure you have a full stock of missiles and Power Bombs before entering this fight.

Completion of the mission, the Metroid hatchling, and the game's ending.
