Samus's Arm Cannon is her primary offensive tool, capable of firing various beam types and missiles. As you progress, Adam will authorize more powerful beam upgrades, significantly increasing your damage output and utility.

Weapons & Beam Upgrades

Beam Weapons:

  • Power Beam: Samus's standard energy weapon. Can be charged for a more powerful shot.
  • Charge Beam: Hold the 1 Button to charge your Power Beam for increased damage and knockback. Essential for many enemies.
  • Diffusion Beam: Authorized later in the game, this upgrade causes your Charge Beam to explode on impact, damaging nearby enemies. Excellent for crowd control.
  • Plasma Beam: A powerful, piercing beam that deals high damage and can penetrate multiple enemies. Authorized towards the end of the game.
  • Ice Beam: Freezes enemies on contact, making them vulnerable to Missiles or allowing you to use them as platforms. Authorized late game.

Missiles & Bombs:

  • Missile Launcher: Fires powerful, explosive projectiles. Essential for destroying Missile Blocks and dealing heavy damage to bosses.
  • Power Bomb: A devastating area-of-effect weapon that clears all enemies and certain destructible blocks in a large radius. Deployed in Morph Ball form.

Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses. Experiment to find the most effective weapon for each enemy type and situation. Remember that some beam upgrades replace previous ones, while others are stackable.
