The Geothermal sector presents new environmental challenges, primarily lava pits and high temperatures. Samus will take damage if she falls into lava or stays in extremely hot areas without proper authorization. Your primary goal is to find a way to cross these hazardous zones.

Navigating the Lava Pits
  1. Locate the Control Room: Your first objective is often to find a control room that can manipulate the environment, such as lowering lava levels or activating platforms.
  2. Avoid Lava: Use platforms, ledges, and your jump ability to avoid falling into the lava. Some areas require precise platforming.
  3. Encounter New Enemies: You'll face fire-based enemies and mechanical drones. Missiles are often effective against the latter.
  4. Power Bomb Authorization: Adam will eventually authorize the Power Bomb. This powerful weapon clears all enemies and certain blocks in a large radius. Use it sparingly.
  5. Use Power Bombs to Clear Obstacles: Look for cracked walls or floors with a distinct symbol that can only be destroyed by a Power Bomb.

The Power Bomb is a game-changer for both combat and exploration. Remember to switch to Morph Ball mode to deploy it. It's also excellent for revealing hidden passages.
