The signal originates from a Galactic Federation patrol squadron that vanished after pursuing a Space Pirate vessel into the Aether system. Upon arrival, Samus's gunship is immediately attacked by a mysterious, shadowy entity – later identified as Dark Samus – causing her to crash-land on the planet's surface.
Initial Objectives:
- Investigate the Crash Site: After regaining control, Samus must first navigate the wreckage of her gunship.
