Samus's Power Suit visor provides a wealth of information crucial for your mission. In the top-left corner, you'll find your Energy Tank display, showing your current health. Below that are your Missile and Power Bomb counts. The top-right displays your current beam weapon and its charge status. The bottom-left corner shows your current visor mode (Combat, Scan, Dark, Echo). The bottom-right corner often displays contextual information, such as objective markers or environmental warnings.
The Scan Visor (activated by pressing Z on GameCube or pointing the Wii Remote at the screen and pressing - on Wii) is your most important tool for understanding Aether. Use it to scan enemies for weaknesses, environmental objects for lore and puzzle hints, and data logs for story progression. Always scan new enemies and objects you encounter; it often reveals critical information for overcoming challenges. The map system, accessible via the Start menu, is also vital for navigation, showing your current location, explored areas, and objective markers.
