Walkthrough: Sky Temple

Welcome, bounty hunter. The Sky Temple is the final gauntlet, a convergence of all your trials on Aether. Prepare for intense combat, complex puzzles, and the ultimate confrontation. Ensure your Missile count is high, your Energy Tanks are full, and your Beam Combos are ready. This area is linear but unforgiving.

Sky Temple Gateway

• Upon entering the Sky Temple, you'll find yourself in the Sky Temple Gateway. There's little to do here immediately, but it serves as your entry point.
• Proceed through the large door ahead to the next area.

Sky Temple Access

• This short corridor, Sky Temple Access, leads directly to the main chamber.
• Keep an eye out for any lingering Ing or Space Pirates, though this area is usually clear.

Sky Temple Core

This is the heart of the Sky Temple, a vast, circular chamber with multiple platforms and energy conduits. Your primary objective here is to activate the planetary energy transfer system.

• Initial Scan: Upon entering, scan the central console to understand your objective: activate the five energy conduits.
• First Conduit: The first conduit is typically active or easily accessible. Approach it and use your Scan Visor to identify the activation point. A well-placed Beam attack (usually Power Beam or Charge Beam) will activate it.
• Navigating the Core:
  • The Sky Temple Core features several rotating platforms and energy barriers. Use your Boost Ball and Spider Ball abilities to navigate the intricate pathways.
  • Be wary of Dark Splinters and Inglets that will constantly spawn. Prioritize eliminating them to prevent being overwhelmed.
• Second Conduit: Look for a platform that requires a precise Boost Ball jump to reach. Once there, you'll likely encounter a group of Dark Pirate Commandos. Defeat them to clear the path to the conduit.
• Third Conduit: This conduit often involves a puzzle. You might need to activate a series of switches in a specific order, or use the Seeker Missile to hit multiple targets simultaneously. Scan the environment carefully for clues.
• Fourth Conduit: Expect heavy resistance here. Several Dark Troopers or even a Dark Alpha Splinter might guard this conduit. Utilize your Super Missiles and Beam Combos for maximum damage.
• Fifth Conduit: The final conduit often requires you to traverse a section of the core in Dark Aether. Switch to the Dark Visor to identify hidden platforms or weak points in the environment. Be prepared for the damaging atmosphere of Dark Aether.

Sky Temple Energy Transfer

Once all five conduits in the Sky Temple Core are active, the central mechanism will begin to hum with energy. This signifies the final phase of the energy transfer.

• Central Platform: Return to the central platform of the Sky Temple Core. The energy transfer will initiate, but not without a final challenge.
• Defend the Transfer: You will be assaulted by waves of Ing creatures, including Dark Tallon Metroids and Dark Pirate Commandos, attempting to disrupt the energy flow.
• Strategic Defense:
  • Focus fire on the most immediate threats.
  • Use your Power Bombs strategically to clear groups of smaller enemies.
  • Maintain your distance from the Dark Tallon Metroids and use charged shots.
  • The transfer takes a set amount of time. Your goal is to survive until it's complete.
• Completion: Once the energy transfer is complete, a cutscene will play, signifying a major turning point in your mission. The path to the final confrontation will open.

With the Sky Temple's energy transfer complete, you are one step closer to confronting the source of Aether's corruption. Replenish your supplies and prepare for the ultimate battle.
