Helios is a formidable Elysian guardian, a large, spherical drone protected by a powerful energy shield. This boss requires the use of your Grapple Voltage and precise targeting.
Phase 1: Shield & Tentacles
Helios will float around the arena, protected by an impenetrable energy shield. It will deploy several smaller, tentacle-like drones that fire energy projectiles. Your primary goal is to destroy these tentacles first. Lock on to them and use your Plasma Beam. Once a tentacle is destroyed, it will leave behind an energy conduit. Use your Grapple Voltage (Z button while locked on) to siphon energy from these conduits. Siphoning enough energy will temporarily overload Helios's shield, causing it to drop.
Phase 2: Core Exposure
When Helios's shield drops, its central core will be exposed. This is your window to deal damage. Unleash charged Nova Beam shots and missiles into the core. Helios will eventually reactivate its shield and deploy more tentacles. Repeat the process of destroying tentacles, siphoning energy with Grapple Voltage, and attacking the core. Be aware of Helios's powerful laser attacks and its ability to create energy waves. Hypermode is highly effective during the core exposure phase, allowing you to quickly deplete its health. Maintain constant movement to avoid its attacks and prioritize destroying the tentacles to create openings.
