Phase 1: Crystal Weak Points

Mogenar will primarily attack with powerful ground pounds and energy blasts. Its main weakness in this phase are the four glowing crystals embedded in its limbs. Lock on to each crystal and fire your charged Plasma Beam shots. After damaging a crystal, Mogenar will often become temporarily stunned. During this stun, quickly transform into Morph Ball and use a Boost Ball to ram into the damaged crystal. Repeat this process for all four crystals. Be mindful of its sweeping arm attacks and try to stay at a medium distance.

Phase 2: Phazon Core Exposure

Once all four crystals are destroyed, Mogenar will collapse, exposing a large Phazon core in its chest. This is your primary damage window. Unleash a barrage of charged Plasma Beam shots and missiles into the core. Mogenar will eventually recover and re-enter Phase 1, but with increased aggression. Repeat the process of destroying the crystals and attacking the core. If you have Hypermode available, this is an excellent time to activate it and deal massive damage to the exposed core, but be careful not to over-corrupt yourself. The fight is a war of attrition, so manage your energy and missiles carefully.
