Location: Pirate Homeworld - Phazon Processing Center
Omega Ridley is a heavily Phazon-enhanced version of Samus's arch-nemesis. This multi-phase battle is one of the most challenging in the game, requiring mastery of all your abilities, especially Hypermode.
Phase 1: Armored Body
Omega Ridley is initially covered in Phazon armor, making him highly resistant to normal attacks. He will attack with powerful claw swipes, fireballs, and a devastating Phazon breath attack. His primary weakness in this phase is his chest cavity, which glows when he's about to use his Phazon breath. Lock on and fire charged Nova Beam shots and missiles into his chest during this opening. Alternatively, you can activate Hypermode and unleash a torrent of Hyper Beam shots directly into his chest or head. Dodge his physical attacks by strafing and jumping. He will occasionally fly around the arena, making him harder to hit.
Phase 2: Exposed Phazon Core
After dealing enough damage, Omega Ridley's Phazon armor will shatter, revealing a large, pulsating Phazon core in his chest. This is your main damage phase. He will become more aggressive, using faster attacks and more frequent Phazon breath. Activate Hypermode immediately and unleash a continuous stream of Hyper Beam shots into his exposed core. This is a race against time, as his attacks are incredibly damaging. If your Hypermode runs out, revert to charged Nova Beam shots and missiles. Be prepared to use Energy Tanks if necessary. Continue to dodge his attacks and focus all your firepower on the core until he is defeated. This battle is a true test of your combat skills and resource management.
