Hypermode is a powerful, Phazon-fueled ability Samus gains early in the game. When activated (by pressing Z when the Phazon Meter is full), Samus's Beam attacks become significantly more powerful, dealing massive damage to enemies and often bypassing their defenses. While in Hypermode, Samus is also temporarily invulnerable to damage. However, Hypermode comes with a significant risk: prolonged use or taking damage while in Hypermode increases Samus's Phazon corruption. If the Phazon Meter fills completely, Samus will enter a 'Corrupted' state, rapidly losing health until she dies. Therefore, Hypermode should be used strategically, primarily during challenging boss fights or against large groups of tough enemies. Activate it, deal as much damage as possible, and then deactivate it before your corruption level becomes critical. Mastering the timing of Hypermode activation and deactivation is key to surviving the later stages of the game.
