Prepare for a challenging journey through intricate pathways, environmental puzzles, and a final, intense confrontation.
Navigating the Celestial Archives
The path to the Elysian Seed begins from the Main Docking Bay. Head towards the newly powered areas. Your destination is the Celestial Archives, accessible via a large, circular door that was previously unpowered. As you enter, the atmosphere shifts, indicating a higher level of security and more sophisticated Elysian technology.
- Initial Access: From the Main Docking Bay, proceed through the newly opened pathway leading directly into the Celestial Archives.
- Data Core Access: The first major challenge involves navigating a series of rotating platforms and energy barriers. Use your Grapple Lasso to swing across gaps and your Boost Ball to navigate tight tunnels.
- Security Drone Patrols: Be wary of enhanced Elysian Security Drones. These variants are faster and possess stronger shields than those encountered previously. A well-placed Charge Beam shot followed by a Missile is often effective.
- Environmental Puzzles: You'll encounter several environmental puzzles involving manipulating energy conduits and activating ancient Elysian terminals.
- Conduit Puzzle: In the Central Data Repository, you'll find a puzzle requiring you to align three energy conduits using your Scan Visor and Grapple Lasso to redirect power flows. The correct sequence will illuminate a central data core, unlocking the next pathway.
- Gravity Lift Activation: Further in, a deactivated gravity lift blocks your path. Scan the surrounding terminals to identify the power source, which is often a hidden generator requiring a Plasma Beam shot to activate.
- Space Pirate Ambush: Expect increased Space Pirate presence, including Advanced Troopers and Commando Pirates, who have infiltrated deeper into the Archives. Utilize your Hypermode strategically during these encounters, especially against groups.
The Elysian Seed Chamber
After successfully navigating the Archives' defenses and puzzles, you will reach the chamber housing the Elysian Seed. However, it is not unguarded. A powerful sentinel stands between you and your objective.
Boss Battle: Helios
Upon entering the main chamber, you will be confronted by Helios, a massive, multi-limbed Elysian guardian designed to protect the Seed. Helios is a formidable opponent, utilizing both physical attacks and energy-based projectiles.
Helios Strategy Guide
Helios has several distinct phases and attack patterns. Understanding these is key to victory.
- Phase 1: Energy Sphere Barrage
- Helios will initially float in the center of the arena, launching a barrage of small, homing energy spheres.
- Strategy: Continuously strafe and use your Boost Ball to evade these attacks. Focus your fire on the glowing orange orbs attached to Helios's limbs. These are its weak points. Use your Charge Beam for sustained damage.
- After destroying a few orbs, Helios will momentarily become vulnerable. Unleash a Missile or a fully charged Plasma Beam shot into its central core.
- Phase 2: Grapple Point Exposure
- As Helios takes damage, it will occasionally expose a series of grapple points on its limbs.
- Strategy: Quickly switch to your Grapple Lasso and latch onto one of the exposed points. This will pull you towards Helios, allowing you to deliver a powerful melee attack or a close-range Hypermode burst directly to its core. Be quick, as these grapple points are only available for a short duration.
- Phase 3: Ground Slam & Energy Waves
- In its later stages, Helios will descend closer to the ground, attempting to slam its limbs down, creating shockwaves. It will also emit wide energy waves that sweep across the arena.
- Strategy: Jump over the ground shockwaves and use your Boost Ball to roll under the energy waves. Continue targeting the glowing orbs on its limbs. When it exposes its core after a successful limb attack, go all out with your most powerful attacks, including Hypermode Missiles if you have enough Phazon.
- Recommended Loadout:
- Beam: Plasma Beam (for high damage)
- Visor: Combat Visor (for targeting weak points)
- Suit: Phazon Suit (if available, for Phazon resistance)
- Auxiliary: Energy Tanks (at least 3-4 recommended)
- Common Pitfall: Don't get complacent with evasion. Helios's attacks can deal significant damage. Prioritize dodging while maintaining consistent fire on its weak points.
Securing the Elysian Seed
Once Helios is defeated, its metallic shell will collapse, revealing the Elysian Seed. Approach it and initiate a scan to begin the transfer process. This will complete your primary objective on Elysia and provide crucial data for understanding the Phazon threat.
Reward: Upon securing the Elysian Seed, you will gain access to new data logs detailing Elysian technology and the origins of the Seed. This also marks a significant progression in your mission to contain the Phazon corruption.
