Walkthrough - Norion
Welcome to Norion, the Galactic Federation's primary defense hub! Your mission here is critical: reactivate the planetary defense systems and repel the Pirate invasion. This section will guide you through every step, from initial landing to the final generator activation.
Landing Site & Initial Exploration
- Upon landing, you'll find yourself in the Landing Site. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the controls if you're new to the game.
- Head forward and through the door into the Docking Bay 1.
- Proceed through Docking Bay 2. You'll encounter some Space Pirates here. Use your Power Beam to dispatch them.
- Continue into the Maintenance Shaft. This area is straightforward; follow the path.
- You'll then reach the Main Docking Bay. More Pirates will ambush you here. Clear them out.
- Locate the elevator in the Main Docking Bay and take it up to the Main Lift.
- From the Main Lift, head towards the Generator Access.
Generator A: Reactivation
Your first major objective is to reactivate Generator A. This involves navigating through several interconnected areas and dealing with Pirate resistance.
- Enter the Generator Access and proceed through the door to Generator A Access.
- In Generator A Access, you'll face more Space Pirates. Clear the area.
- Continue into Generator A itself.
- Strategy: To reactivate Generator A, you need to locate and activate three distinct power conduits. These are typically found on the upper levels or along the walls of the generator chamber.
- Look for glowing panels or terminals that can be interacted with using your Power Beam.
- After activating each conduit, a short sequence will play, and the generator will begin to power up.
- Be prepared for additional Pirate attacks as you activate each conduit.
- Once all three conduits are activated, Generator A will be fully operational.
- Exit Generator A the way you came and return to the Generator Access.
Generator C: Reactivation
With Generator A online, your next target is Generator C. This path will introduce you to new challenges and environmental puzzles.
- From the Generator Access, locate the path leading to Generator C Access.
- As you enter Generator C Access, you'll encounter a new type of enemy, potentially a more heavily armored Pirate or a flying drone. Adapt your strategy accordingly.
- Proceed into Generator C.
- Strategy: Generator C's reactivation is similar to Generator A, requiring the activation of multiple power conduits. However, these conduits might be in more challenging locations, requiring some platforming or the use of your Morph Ball.
- Scan the environment for any interactive elements or weak points.
- One conduit might be behind a destructible barrier, requiring a missile.
- Another could be in a high-up alcove, necessitating a well-timed jump or a Morph Ball launch.
- Expect continuous Pirate resistance throughout this process.
- Once all conduits are activated, Generator C will come online.
- Exit Generator C and return to the Generator Access.
Central Control & Final Activation
With both Generator A and C reactivated, it's time to head to the Central Control to bring the entire defense system online.
- From the Generator Access, make your way to the Central Control room. This path might involve backtracking through some familiar areas or opening a new door that was previously locked.
- Inside Central Control, you'll find a main console. Interact with it to initiate the final activation sequence for Norion's planetary defense system.
- Be prepared for a final wave of Space Pirates or even a mini-boss encounter in Central Control as you attempt to activate the system. Focus on dodging and exploiting enemy weaknesses.
- Once the system is activated, a cutscene will play, confirming your success on Norion.
