Energy Tanks are crucial for increasing Samus's maximum health, allowing her to withstand more damage in combat. There are a total of 14 Energy Tanks scattered throughout the game, with 5 starting tanks and 9 additional tanks to find. Each tank adds 100 units to your total energy. Collecting all of them significantly improves your survivability, especially during boss battles and in Phazon-corrupted areas. Many Energy Tanks are hidden behind environmental puzzles, require specific Beam upgrades to access, or are located in secret areas. Always keep an eye out for suspicious cracks in walls, hidden passages, or platforms that seem to lead nowhere. Using your Scan Visor frequently can reveal weak points or interactive elements that lead to these valuable upgrades. Prioritize collecting these whenever possible.
