Samus's primary offensive tools are her Beam Weapons. The Power Beam is your default, versatile weapon. The Wave Beam can pass through certain shields and activate purple energy conduits. The Ice Beam freezes enemies, making them vulnerable to Missiles, and activates blue conduits. The Plasma Beam deals high damage, melts ice, and activates red conduits. Each beam has a unique charged shot, and they can be combined with Missiles for powerful attacks. Switching between them is key to exploiting enemy weaknesses.
