This journey will take you through the scorching Magmoor Caverns, a volcanic region teeming with hazards and powerful creatures. The path to Phendrana is not immediately obvious and requires specific actions to unlock.

Navigating Magmoor Caverns to Phendrana

Your primary goal in Magmoor Caverns is to locate and activate the ancient Chozo mechanisms that control the path to Phendrana Drifts. This involves a multi-step process:

1. Entering Magmoor Caverns: From the Chozo Ruins, specifically the Main Plaza, take the elevator down to the Magmoor Caverns North.
2. Traversing Magmoor Caverns:
   • Proceed through the Magmoor Caverns North and into the Lava Lake. Be wary of the Magmoor creatures that inhabit the lava.
   • Your objective is to reach the Monitor Station. This large chamber features several platforms and a central monitor.
   • From the Monitor Station, locate the door leading to the Magmoor Workstation.
3. Activating the Chozo Mechanisms:
   • Inside the Magmoor Workstation, you'll find a series of four Power Conduits. These are distinct, circular mechanisms embedded in the walls.
   • To activate them, you must use your Charge Beam to fire a charged shot into each conduit. Each successful activation will cause a light to illuminate.
   • Once all four conduits are charged, the large, distinctive Chozo door leading to the Phendrana Drifts will unlock. This door is easily recognizable by its intricate Chozo carvings and a blue energy field, contrasting with the typical red or purple doors you've encountered. It's located on the upper level of the Magmoor Workstation, opposite the entrance.

Key Items and Collectibles to Watch For

While navigating Magmoor Caverns, keep an eye out for valuable upgrades that will aid you on your journey:

• Missile Expansions: Several Missile Expansions are scattered throughout Magmoor Caverns. For instance, one can be found in the Lava Lake by using the Morph Ball to access a hidden alcove. Another is located in the Triclops Room, requiring careful platforming.
• Energy Tanks: An Energy Tank is crucial for increasing your health. One is hidden in the Monitor Station, accessible via a series of precise jumps and a Morph Ball Bomb jump.

Common Pitfalls and Tips

• Heat Damage: The Magmoor Caverns are extremely hot. Ensure you have the Varia Suit equipped at all times to mitigate constant heat damage. Without it, your health will rapidly deplete.
• Magmoor Enemies: The Magmoor creatures that emerge from the lava can be a nuisance. A well-aimed Power Beam shot will dispatch them quickly.
• Platforming Challenges: Many areas in Magmoor Caverns require precise platforming over lava. Take your time and use Samus's double jump effectively.
• Scan Everything: Always use your Scan Visor. It provides invaluable lore, enemy weaknesses, and hints for environmental puzzles, including the activation of the Chozo mechanisms.
