Proteus Ridley is a formidable foe, appearing late in the game. He is highly aggressive and has a wide range of fire-based attacks. Phase 1: Ridley will swoop, claw, and spit fireballs. Dodge his charges and use the Melee Counter when he lunges. After a successful counter, unleash Missiles on his head. He will also grab Samus; rapidly tap buttons to escape. Phase 2: He will fly higher, dropping firebombs and charging more frequently. Use the Space Jump to stay airborne and avoid ground attacks. Continue to counter his lunges and target his head with Super Missiles. The Plasma Beam is highly effective here. Phase 3: Ridley becomes even more enraged, combining all his attacks. Focus on survival, dodging, and exploiting every opening after a Melee Counter. The Lightning Armor can provide a crucial defensive boost. Reward: Path to the final area.
