Upon landing, head right. You'll encounter several basic enemies; use your Beam and practice the Melee Counter. Continue right until you reach a vertical shaft. Descend, then proceed left. You'll soon find your first Save Station. Save your game! Continue left, navigating through some destructible blocks. You'll encounter your first Gamma Metroid. This Metroid is relatively simple: dodge its charges and fire missiles at its exposed underbelly after a successful Melee Counter. Defeating it will open a path forward. After defeating the Metroid, absorb its DNA to unlock the first Metroid count on your map. Proceed through the newly opened path, collecting any Missile Expansions you find along the way. Your next goal is to find the first Aeion Ability.
