As you make your final escape from the Space Pirate mothership, you'll encounter a formidable obstacle: Mecha Ridley. This is a robotic replica of Ridley, serving as a final boss before you can truly escape. Mecha Ridley is a large, mechanical foe with several attacks.
Strategy:
- Attacks: Mecha Ridley will fly around, shoot lasers from its eyes, and launch missiles from its chest. It also has a powerful claw attack if you get too close.
- Weakness: The glowing red core in its chest is its primary weak point.
- Tactics: Focus all your Missiles and Super Missiles on the red core when it's exposed. Dodge its laser and missile attacks by jumping and moving between platforms. The Screw Attack can be useful for clearing smaller enemies that Mecha Ridley might deploy.
This battle is a test of your combat skills and resource management. Keep firing at its core, and eventually, Mecha Ridley will be destroyed, clearing your path to freedom. This is the last major challenge before the true ending of Metroid: Zero Mission.
