Missile Tank Locations
Missile Tanks are crucial upgrades in Metroid: Zero Mission, permanently increasing Samus's maximum Missile capacity by 5 each. Collecting these tanks is paramount for success, as Missiles are your primary means of dealing significant damage to bosses, opening Missile Doors, and destroying certain environmental obstacles. A robust Missile supply is essential for tackling the game's formidable challenges, especially later encounters with powerful adversaries like Kraid and Ridley.
These valuable upgrades are often found in hidden alcoves, behind destructible blocks, or in areas that require specific power-ups like the Morph Ball and Bombs to access. Some are ingeniously placed, demanding careful observation of the environment, the use of Power Bombs to reveal secret passages, or even precise platforming. Make it a habit to bomb suspicious walls and floors, and utilize your X-Ray Scope (once acquired) to uncover hidden paths, as many Missile Tanks are tucked away in these secret spots.
Below is a comprehensive list of Missile Tank locations, organized by area, to help you maximize your arsenal. Remember to revisit areas as you gain new abilities, as many tanks are inaccessible without the proper upgrades.
