Unlike modern games with auto-save features, Metroid requires you to actively save your progress. To save, you must find a Save Room. These rooms are typically marked by a distinct door and a glowing orb within. Simply walk into the orb to initiate the save process. It is highly recommended to save frequently, especially after acquiring new power-ups or defeating challenging enemies. Dying without saving will send you back to your last save point, potentially losing significant progress. Always prioritize finding a Save Room after a major accomplishment or before venturing into a particularly dangerous area.
