Your journey begins in the lush, yet dangerous, caverns of Brinstar. This area serves as your introduction to Zebes and its inhabitants. Your primary goal here is to acquire the foundational power-ups that will enable further exploration. Be wary of the local fauna, such as the Zoomers and Skrees, which can quickly deplete your energy if you're not careful. Conserve your energy and missiles, as resources are scarce in the early game.
