Upon entering Tourian, you will immediately encounter Metroids. These jellyfish-like creatures are incredibly dangerous. They are immune to your regular beam and can latch onto Samus, draining her energy rapidly. The only way to defeat a Metroid is with Missiles. It takes exactly five missiles to destroy each Metroid. Be quick and precise with your shots. If a Metroid latches onto you, rapidly fire missiles to dislodge and destroy it before it drains too much energy. There are several Metroids guarding the path to Mother Brain, so conserve your missiles wisely and ensure you have a large supply.
