A well-designed base is your sanctuary, but no base is truly impenetrable. Optimizing your base defense involves layered security, strategic trap placement, and understanding common raiding tactics. Don't just build walls; build a deterrent.
- Layered Defenses: Don't rely on a single wall. Create multiple layers of walls, fences, and gates. Make raiders use more explosives and time to get to your core loot.
- Chokepoints: Design your base with chokepoints that funnel raiders into kill zones. Place 'Spike Traps' or 'Bear Traps' in these areas.
- Hidden Loot Rooms: Create false walls or hidden compartments within your base to store your most valuable loot. Raiders often won't spend the extra explosives to find these.
- External Traps: Place 'Bear Traps' or 'Landmines' (if you can find/craft them) around the perimeter of your base, hidden in bushes or tall grass. Remember where you placed them!
