Beyond simple buffs, many Endemic Life creatures can be strategically used to gain a significant advantage in combat.
- Puppet Spiders: Use these to initiate Wyvern Riding. Grab a Puppet Spider, then hit a large monster with a jumping attack or Silkbind attack to mount it. You can then ram it into walls or other monsters for massive damage and knockdowns.
- Toads (Blastoad, Paratoad, Sleeptoad): Lure monsters into these to inflict status effects. Attack the toad when the monster is near to trigger the explosion.
- Stinkminks: Use these to lure a monster away from a dangerous area or to initiate a turf war with another monster.
- Thunderbeetles: Inflict Thunderblight on a monster, making it much easier to stun. Aim for the head with blunt weapons after applying Thunderblight.
- Flashbugs/Sonicgales: While not Endemic Life, these environmental items can be triggered for similar effects to Flash Bombs and Sonic Bombs.
Always scan your environment for these opportunities before engaging a monster.
