Attack Patterns & Strategies:

Magnamalo is the flagship monster of Monster Hunter Rise, a Fanged Wyvern that uses hellfire energy. It's incredibly aggressive and fast, requiring precise dodging and understanding of its hellfire states.

  • Hellfire Blight: Magnamalo inflicts Hellfire Blight, which causes you to explode after a short delay. You can roll three times to remove it, or use a Wirebug to perform a Wirefall, which also removes it and leaves a Hellfireblight puddle.
  • Hellfire Puddles: When you or Magnamalo are inflicted with Hellfire Blight, a puddle of hellfire is left behind. If Magnamalo walks into it, it will take damage and be temporarily stunned. If you walk into it, you'll get Hellfire Blight.
  • Attacks: It has powerful claw swipes, tail slams, and charges. Its most dangerous attacks involve charging up hellfire on its body parts (forelegs, back, tail).
  • Weak Points: Its head is a consistent weak point. When its forelegs, back, or tail are glowing with hellfire, they become temporary weak points. Breaking these parts will cause a large explosion and knock Magnamalo down.
  • Wirebug Usage: Master your Wirebug dodges and Wirefall to escape its relentless attacks and remove Hellfire Blight.

Recommended Gear:

  • Weapons with Water or Thunder element.
  • Armor with high defense. Skills like Evade Extender or Evade Window can be very helpful.
  • Bring Nullberries to cure Hellfire Blight if you struggle with Wirefall.
