Post-Game Content & New Game+
Once you've conquered the main narrative of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, a wealth of challenging post-game content awaits, designed to test your mastery of combat and Monstie collection. The most significant addition is the ability to embark on a New Game+ playthrough. This allows you to restart your adventure with your existing Monsties, gear, and collected materials, but with a significantly increased difficulty. Enemies will have higher stats, new attack patterns, and some may even wield unique abilities not seen in your initial playthrough. This is the perfect opportunity to experiment with different Rider and Monstie builds and tackle previously difficult encounters with ease.
Beyond New Game+, the post-game introduces several new Superbosses and optional dungeons. The "Echoes of the Ancients" dungeon, accessible only after completing the main story, features a gauntlet of incredibly powerful monsters, including the legendary Elder Dragon, Fatalis. Defeating Fatalis rewards you with exclusive crafting materials for the ultimate gear, such as the Dragonbone Greatsword, which boasts an astonishing 1200 Attack and a unique skill that increases damage by 15% against Dragon-elemental enemies. Furthermore, the "Twisted Reflection" event quest, which appears weekly, offers a chance to battle a corrupted version of the final boss, yielding rare decorations and high-tier armor sets like the Abyssal Regalia.
Managing your Kinship Gauge becomes even more critical in post-game content. Many of the new Kinship Skills, such as the Celestial Nova which deals 5000 damage to all enemies and has a 3-turn cooldown, require a full gauge. Prioritize building your Kinship through successful attacks and defensive maneuvers. Don't neglect your Monstie's Gene Slots; optimizing them with powerful skills like "Critical Boost +" (increases critical hit chance by 20%) and "Element Up +" (boosts elemental damage by 10%) is crucial for overcoming the sheer power of post-game threats. Remember to revisit the Workshop in Kamura Village to craft and upgrade your gear using the rare materials you acquire.
