Village Requests & Optional Quests

Optional Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds are non-essential tasks that provide valuable opportunities for farming materials and other resources. These quests become available as you progress through the main story, tied to Assignments, and can also be unlocked by speaking with NPCs marked with a quest icon. Completing Optional Quests adds depth and rewards, allowing you to upgrade your equipment.

Village Requests & Optional Quests Overview

Optional Quests are crucial for resource gathering and equipment upgrades. They can be completed multiple times, making them an excellent way to farm necessary items. The availability of these quests is linked to your progression in the main story and interactions with NPCs.

High-Difficulty Optional Quests

New high-difficulty optional quests are available for experienced hunters. Completing these challenging quests rewards players with special nameplates, showcasing their skill and dedication. Hunting Exercises are also offered, allowing players to test their strength and refine their hunting techniques without the pressure of a full quest.

Accessing Quests

Quests can be accessed via the quest counter, located at your tent, or by speaking to your handler, Alma. Before heading to the Scarlet Forest to investigate the Doshaguma in the "To the Forest" mission, you are prompted to undertake field surveys or optional quests to gather materials and upgrade your gear.
