Scarlet Forest Guide
The Scarlet Forest is a vibrant and dangerous region in Monster Hunter Wilds, teeming with unique flora and fauna. As you progress through the early game, you'll be tasked with investigating this area, encountering new monsters and gathering essential materials. Proper preparation at Base Camp, including upgrading your gear and accepting quests, is crucial before venturing into its depths to face challenges like the Doshaguma.
Upon returning to the Village of Whispering Winds, you'll have the opportunity to make further preparations at Base Camp. This includes accessing the quest counter for field surveys or optional quests to gather materials and upgrade your equipment. It is highly recommended to strengthen your gear before heading to the Scarlet Forest, as you will soon face more challenging monsters. At this point, additional functions become available at the smithy, such as forging and upgrading armor, crafting Palico equipment, and managing Kinsects. When you are ready, depart for the field and travel via Seikret to the marked objective leading to the forest entrance. A cutscene will trigger upon arrival, where you will rendezvous with Gemma and Nata, marking the end of this sub-main mission and the immediate start of 'Forest Findings'.

Navigating this area requires keen observation, as it harbors both valuable resources and formidable threats.
